How reviews work

• Only a buyer who bought the item on CaterBids with Buy now, once the order is paid or completed.
• The buyer needs a verified account (email or phone).
• One review per order. Sellers can't review themselves.
• The buyer rates the seller overall, and for the item matching its description, communication, and delivery or collection. A written comment is optional.
• Reviews show as "Verified buyer". We never show the buyer's name or the order number.

A seller's rating is the average of the overall stars on every review that's showing, out of 5. Hidden reviews don't count. Featured listings and paid plans make no difference to reviews or ratings.

• The seller can reply publicly to each review, once.
• They can edit their reply for 48 hours after posting it. After that it's fixed.
• Replies can't include phone numbers, email addresses or web addresses. Buyers message sellers through CaterBids.

If a review or a reply looks wrong, use the Report link under it (you'll need to be signed in). Choose a reason and add anything we should know. We check every report.

We hide a review, or remove a seller's reply, only when:

• it's fake
• it was written by someone who didn't buy the item
• it's abusive or threatening
• it shares someone's personal details, such as a phone number or address
• it's spam, or not about the sale
• it breaks our Terms in another way

We never hide a review because it's negative or because the seller disagrees with it, and no one can pay us to remove one. We don't edit what buyers write.

Every decision is recorded with its reason. A reply we've removed can't be posted again. If you think we got a decision wrong, email [email protected] and we'll look again.
