How to prepare equipment for pallet collection

  1. 1Clean the itemRemove food, grease, water and waste.
  2. 2Disconnect safelyIsolate gas and electrical connections and remove hazards. Remove gas cylinders and LPG: they cannot travel by pallet.
  3. 3Measure and weighCheck the height, width, depth and weight.
  4. 4Secure loose partsBox shelves, trays, cables and extras.
  5. 5Wrap and strapShrink-wrap it tightly and strap it to the pallet.
  6. 6Be ready for collectionClear the access route and have the collection details ready.

Important

  • • No overhang: the item must sit within the pallet.
  • • Secure everything before the driver arrives.
  • • Box any loose parts.
  • • Poor preparation can delay collection.
Sellers must ensure equipment is safely disconnected, cleaned, secured, palletised and shrink-wrapped before collection. Poor preparation may delay or cancel courier collection.
